One Big Build
We are thrilled to be building a brand new 52 bedroom Ronald McDonald House at the New Children’s Hospital in Dublin, and we need YOU to help make it happen!
This House will be more than just bricks and mortar—it’s going to be a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children from all over Ireland who need to travel to Dublin for treatment.
"A Family With a Sick Child is a Sick Family"
– Dr. Audrey Evans,
Pediatric oncologist, visionary, and co-founder of the first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia (1974)
One Big Goal
Our goal is to raise €1 million to finish the new House. With your help, we can build a safe, comforting space where families can stay close to their child when it matters most.
The “Thanks a Million” campaign is all about YOU—our community—and how every single donation or fundraising effort gets us closer to opening the doors of this lifesaving home
One Little House
At our Ronald McDonald House in Crumlin, we provide families with sick children a place to call home during one of the toughest times in their lives.
For nearly 20 years, we’ve been offering love, support, and comfort to families while their children receive critical medical care far from home in Dublin.
5000 families
The Need
Thousands of families have come through our doors and received the support and healthcare access they need. But even with all the families we’ve helped since 2004, we can only serve a small portion of the country who need to travel for pediatric care. With over 81% of the population living outside of a location with a specialised children’s hospital—the need to travel for treatment is very high in Ireland.
More Demand
With the planned closures of Crumlin, Temple Street, and Tallaght Paediatric Hospitals, all paediatric care for children across Ireland will be centralised at the new Children’s Hospital.
More Capacity
Our new House will more than double the amount of currently available bedrooms.
More Nights of Comfort
Thanks to our new house, we will be able to provide an additional 11,680 nights per year.
That equals 19,000 Nights of Comfort!
More Families
We’ll be able to serve over 500 families annually with our new House—double our current number!
THanks A Million!
One Big Ask
Building this new House is a monumental task, but we know the people of Ireland have BIG hearts. Whether you’re from Cork, Galway, Donegal, or anywhere in between, this House is for all of us. Children from every corner of the country will benefit from this House, and that’s why we need everyone to come together.

Because Closer Means Everything for families during the most difficult times.
Families who stay at Ronald McDonald House save over €300 per night on accommodation, meals, and laundry. This financial relief is crucial, but what’s even more important is the emotional support that comes from being close to their sick child.
By helping us build this new House, you’re not just giving families a roof over their head—you’re giving them a lifeline.
The Ronald McDonald House Ireland has provided
